Take a break from beef and give these ground lamb tacos a try! Savory spiced lamb is topped with pickled onions, shredded cabbage and creamy queso fresco cheese.

Oval tray filled with lamb tacos garnished with cheese and pickled red onions and lime wedges, on a blue surface.

It’s not unusual for us to have tacos twice a week. On Saturday, we’ll make the classic ground beef/cheddar/lettuce/tomato ones that I grew up eating every weekend.

But we have absolutely nothing against another taco night a few days later – maybe mushroom tacos for Meatless Monday or something different for Taco Tuesday.

What if that something different was ground lamb? It’s the star ingredient in my Greek layer dip and Greek lasagna, and also works quite well for tacos, too.

These spiced lamb tacos come together quickly using everyday ingredients like cumin and chili powder. They might convince you to have tacos multiple times a week, too!

Think of Sonoran Hot Dogs as an amazing mashup of a hot dog and a taco. Oh, and it’s even a bacon wrapped hot dog! Top with your favorite Mexican-inspired condiments.

Bacon wrapped hot dog topped with sour cream, tomatoes, cilantro and cheese, on a black plate with potato chips.

Have you ever tried the American-Mexican delight that is the Sonoran hot dog? It’s like a mash-up of a really great hot dog and a really great taco, plus add bacon to the mix.

It sounds crazy, but it just totally works (kind of like how my taco mac and cheese combines two favorites into one).

I first discovered this bacon wrapped hot dog delicacy at a local restaurant and quickly realized how easy and affordable it was to make at home.

You can serve the Sonoran hot dogs with any number of Mexican-inspired condiments and toppings, including refried beans, queso fresco, tomato, avocado, cilantro and sour cream.

So, spice up your summer with this Sonoran hot dog recipe! Serve them with Dr. Pepper baked beans, blistered shishitos, and a beer or a pitcher of cold lemon margaritas.

You could even serve them bar-style, so everybody can assemble their own. The toppings will be really similar to my fajita bar, but you’ll just be using hot dogs and buns instead of tortillas and fajita meats.

These are also great on game day, alongside a football themed charcuterie board and healthy buffalo chicken dip.

Peruvian-Style Potato Salad - A creamy, cheesy and slightly spicy twist on potato salad. | foxeslovelemons.com

My husband and I’s wedding vows were pretty traditional. Variations on the stuff about sickness and health, richer and poorer, faithfulness ’til death do we part.

What they really should have included is a clause about taking out each other’s contact lenses when habañero peppers have been touched that day (otherwise, mind-numbing ocular pain ensues).

Because that’s about as intimate as you can get to another human being, yes? Literally sticking your fingers onto somebody elses’ eyeball to grab their contact.

5 Ingredient Bean & Chorizo Dip - Chorizo, pinto beans, tomatillo salsa, lime juice and sour cream combine to make a game day dip the whole crowd will love! | foxeslovelemons.com

Welcome to Foxes Love Lemons’ WEEK OF DIPS! I’m bringing you all sorts of dippin’ goodness so you can find a recipe your party crowd will love for the big game!

We’re still in the prime snacking season of the year. New Year’s Day (the ultimate snacking day in my household) has come and gone, with pulled pork nachos and Asian-style chicken wings being our snacks/meals of choice. Oscar night is on the horizon next month, which calls for elegant snacks to complement the fancy evening gowns on television. And the big game is next weekend! Some say that the food for this event is their favorite part (more so than the game itself), and I couldn’t agree more.

Flank Steak Tostadas – a quick and easy weeknight meal featuring grilled flank steak, black beans and queso fresco. | foxeslovelemons.com

Do you guys remember what cooking was like before Al Gore invented the Internet? When, if you didn’t know how to cook something, you had to either reference the few cookbooks you had on hand, or call somebody who knew how to cook that item?
My mom and I have always been fans of tostadas (a.k.a. chalupas, at some restaurants). Crunchy, flat corn tortillas topped with whatever you want. Since we liked them so much at restaurants, we continually tried to make them at home when I was younger. We tried everything to get those tortillas crunchy – fried them to within an inch of their life, baked them, fried them and then baked them. They always turned out….OK. They were somewhat crunchy, but also still chewy, and not quite the same as the restaurant version we loved.
