]]>Halloween is definitely one of the most beloved holidays in our household. My husband goes all out with yard decorations, I plan our family Halloween costume months in advance, and our daughter is in it for the candy, of course.
I’ve already done an extensive post on Halloween food ideas (and Halloween deviled eggs, too!). But when you combine my love for Halloween with my love for fun charcuterie board ideas, I couldn’t resist a Halloween board dedicated to charcuterie and cheese.
And if breakfast charcuterie and charcuterie chalets are things, then a Halloween charcuterie board is also most definitely a thing.
I love a unique charcuterie board idea! Equal parts cute and creepy, let me walk you through how I built this spooky appetizer tray. And don’t forget a batch of Halloween bark or Halloween cake pops for dessert!

]]>How do you feel about barbecue potato chips? I’m a fan of them in theory, but the store-bought ones never taste as good as I want them to.
Usually, the flavor isn’t balanced enough, and they are either too sweet or too smoky, with very little nuance.
So a few years ago, I started seasoning my own chips. I start with store-bought potato chips, heat them up in the oven, and then toss them with a custom spice blend that I whip up with things I already have on hand.
Not only does it ensure that the balance of flavor is just right, but with this recipe, you get to eat warm chips right out of the oven.

]]>A perfect cannoli is one of my favorite desserts, but it’s hard to find a perfect cannoli in my area.
Making them from scratch is pretty labor intensive and not something I usually have time for.
So, this Cannoli Dip has become a simple way for me to enjoy these flavors with minimal effort.

]]>Yep, it’s time for another snack dinner! Of all of the “recipes” on this blog, these types of posts are the most representative of how I REALLY like to eat, especially in the spring and summer.
With spring just around the corner (I mean, ignoring the snow flurries I saw this morning, whatever), this Banh Mi Meatball Snack Dinner will be a weeknight go-to to Jeff and I. If I can find fresh local spring radishes and carrots at the farmer’s market, even better!

]]>Did you guys know there are 99 days between Memorial Day and Labor Day? It sounds like a lot, but it’s already going by so fast. But in those 99 days, I pretty much plan to eat 99 meals that celebrate fresh ingredients, BBQ, and simple summer recipes.

]]>I’m fairly certain that our neighbors think we are crazy. I used to have a recipe testing job that involved testing recipes in the most UN-seasonal way possible. Because I worked for a publishing company, and summer issues of magazines had to be worked on in the winter (and vice versa), I was regularly seen stomping my snow boots out to the grill with a plate of hamburgers at 8am in January. Conversely, my neighbors could also see me sitting on my front porch for fresh air in July, when the house was too darn hot from the Thanksgiving turkey that was roasting in the oven.
