]]>Since I’m not the world’s biggest fan of peaches eaten on their own or in sweet dishes, my goal this summer was to make the best savory peach dish ever.
This Burrata Peach Salad lives up to those expectations and more.
While many peach burrata salads also include tomatoes or avocado for filler, or prosciutto, this one needs no filler or meat at all.
The co-stars of this show are lots of juicy grilled peaches and luscious burrata cheese.
The supporting players are a flurry of fresh herbs, pine nuts, and a sweet-savory dressing made with honey and shallots.
The special guest star is some rustic pesto croutons which you’ll want to gobble up before they even make it onto the salad.

]]>I’m so completely smitten with my new house in a million ways. There’s just one thing I can’t stand. Somewhere along the way in the last 90 years, somebody painted 75% of the trim in this house a tan/beige/gross color.
I not-so-lovingly refer to it as the color of skin. A friend noted it’s like that flesh-colored crayon in the box that nobody wants to use.
I’m a fan of white-and-only-white-all-the-time-always-white trim, so this needs to change ASAP.

]]>I’m going to need a little cheese with my whine, because: power outages. Let’s start at the top: Jeff and I are actually moving to a new home!
It’s only about six blocks from our current home, but is ever-so-slightly larger, and in an ever-so-slightly nicer part of town.
But the sad fact is that moving to the nicer part of town isn’t always an upgrade in every possible way.

]]>Hey friends! I’m about to scoot on out of here for a few days. Tomorrow I’ll be in the kitchen all day, cranking the radio up and doing a bunch of Thanksgiving prep. I’m getting the stuffing, cranberry sauce, pies and maybe even the gravy all ready before the big day so that come Thursday, I can just pop the bird in the oven, mash some ‘taters and relax with my fam! I’ll be back here Friday with another Thanksgiving leftover idea, but I wanted to bring you the first one today. Make sure you save some turkey for these sandwiches!
